BIS Certification, ISI Mark & CRS Online Apply
તમારું product ભારતમાં manufacture, import અથવા sell કરતાં પહેલાં BIS certification ફરજિયાત છે કે નહીં, ISI Mark માટે Scheme-I કેવી રીતે apply કરવી, Electronics/IT products માટે CRS Registration કેવી રીતે મેળવવું, fees, documents, testing, factory inspection, validity, renewal, AIR અને official links — બધું સરળ ગુજરાતી ભાષામાં.
🏛️ BIS શું છે?
Bureau of Indian Standards
BIS ભારતનું National Standards Body છે. તે Indian Standards બનાવે છે અને વિવિધ Conformity Assessment Schemes હેઠળ products માટે licence/registration આપે છે.
બધા Products માટે BIS ફરજિયાત નથી
BIS product certification સામાન્ય રીતે voluntary છે; પરંતુ Central Government Quality Control Orders (QCOs) અને અન્ય notifications દ્વારા ઘણા products માટે certification/registration compulsory બનાવવામાં આવે છે.
🔍 ISI Mark અને CRS વચ્ચે શું ફરક છે?
✅ Scheme-I – ISI Mark
Traditional BIS product certification scheme છે. Product relevant Indian Standardને conform કરે છે તેની ખાતરી માટે manufacturing infrastructure, process controls, in-house testing capability અને product testingનું assessment થાય છે.
- Online application: Manak Online
- Factory assessment/inspection સામાન્ય રીતે જરૂરી
- Third-party / factory testing અથવા combination
- Licence પછી Standard Mark + CM/L numberનો ઉપયોગ
- Cement, tyres, cylinders, footwear, safety products વગેરે અનેક QCO products આ scheme હેઠળ હોઈ શકે છે.
💻 Scheme-II – CRS
Compulsory Registration Scheme ખાસ કરીને notified Electronics, IT અને અન્ય listed products માટે છે. Product sampleનું BIS-recognized laboratoryમાં testing અને online registration process મુખ્ય ભાગ છે.

- Domestic manufacturer માટે affidavit/undertaking
- Foreign manufacturer માટે Authorized Indian Representative (AIR)
- 2026 revision મુજબ licence validity 5 years
📦 કયા Products માટે BIS compulsory હોઈ શકે?
Cement & Construction Products
વિવિધ cement grades અને QCO હેઠળ આવતાં selected construction products.
Tyres / Cylinders / Safety Goods
Pneumatic tyres, gas cylinders/valves અને ઘણા safety-linked products માટે compulsory certification હોઈ શકે છે.
Laptop / Tablet / IT Equipment
Laptops, notebooks, tablets અને notified IT/AV equipment CRS listમાં આવે છે.
TV / Monitor / Set Top Box
Televisions, visual display units, monitors, set-top boxes વગેરે relevant standards હેઠળ notified છે.
Power Bank / Adapter / UPS
Portable power banks, selected power adaptors અને UPS/Inverters જેવી categories CRS હેઠળ હોઈ શકે છે.
LED / Smart Electronics
Selected LED luminaires/modules, smart watches, smart speakers, Bluetooth speakers અને CCTV products માટે applicable requirements હોઈ શકે છે.
👤 કોણ Apply કરી શકે?
🏭 Indian Manufacturer
BIS licence/registration મુખ્યત્વે actual manufacturer માટે છે. Manufacturer પાસે relevant product બનાવવાની infrastructure અને quality control arrangement હોવી જોઈએ.
🌍 Foreign Manufacturer
Scheme-I હેઠળ foreign manufacturer માટે FMCS route લાગુ પડે છે. 1 June 2026થી FMCS application online Manak Online મારફતે જ સ્વીકારાય છે.
🤝 Authorized Indian Representative
CRSમાં Indiaમાં liaison/branch office વગરના foreign applicantsએ prescribed formatમાં Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) appoint કરવો પડે છે.
✅ Scheme-I / ISI Mark માટે Basic Eligibility
Manufacturing Infrastructure
Relevant Indian Standard પ્રમાણે product manufacture કરવાની machinery, production process અને process controls ઉપલબ્ધ હોવા જોઈએ.
Quality Control & Testing
Required quality control personnel, testing facilities/equipment, calibration અને product-specific Scheme of Inspection and Testing / QAPનું compliance જરૂરી હોઈ શકે છે.
Product Conformity
Product applicable Indian Standardની તમામ requirements pass કરવું જોઈએ. BIS third-party lab, factory testing અથવા બંને દ્વારા conformity establish કરી શકે છે.
Correct IS Standard
Application શરૂ કરતાં પહેલાં exact IS number તથા latest product manual/standard revision identify કરવી સૌથી મહત્વપૂર્ણ step છે.

BIS Scrutiny
BIS query/shortcoming raise કરે તો portal પર complete response આપો.
Registration Grant

📄 સામાન્ય રીતે જરૂરી Documents
Factory / Business Proof
Manufacturing unitનું legal identity/address proof, factory/business registration અને applicant details જ્યાં applicable હોય.
Indian Standard Details
Applicable IS number, product specification, scope/model/grade/size details.
Machinery List
Manufacturing machinery, process flow અને production capability details Scheme-I applicationમાં જરૂરી થઈ શકે છે.
Testing Equipment
In-house test equipment list, calibration details/certificates અને QC arrangements where applicable.
Test Report
CRS માટે BIS-recognized labનો valid test report જરૂરી છે; Scheme-I simplified routeમાં પણ lab report applicable હોઈ શકે છે.
Brand / Trademark Details
Brand/trademark ownership અથવા authorization documents product/portal requirement પ્રમાણે.
Undertaking / Affidavit
CRS domestic applicant માટે prescribed undertaking અને foreign applicant/AIR માટે applicable nomination/affidavit formats.
AIR Documents
Foreign manufacturer હોય તો Authorized Indian Representative nomination અને prescribed supporting documents.
💰 BIS Fees 2026 – મહત્વપૂર્ણ માહિતી

⏳ Processing Time
Scheme-I / ISI Mark
BIS FAQ મુજબ complete recorded applicationથી average timeline Option-2 / simplified route માટે સામાન્ય રીતે લગભગ 1 મહિનો અને Option-1 માટે લગભગ 4 મહિના હોઈ શકે છે. Inspection, testing, queries અથવા fee delayથી સમય વધી શકે છે.
CRS / Scheme-II
CRS help page normal grant time 20 working days બતાવે છે. Valid BIS-recognized lab report અને complete application જરૂરી છે; query/deficiency હોય તો timeline વધી શકે છે.
🔄 Validity, Renewal અને Annual Compliance
Initial Licence
Scheme-II licence શરૂઆતમાં 5 વર્ષ માટે grant થાય છે.
Renewal Period
Renewal આગળના 5 વર્ષ માટે grant થાય છે, subject to applicable provisions.
Fees + Production Details
Applicable annual fees advanceમાં અને production details prescribed due date સુધી submit કરવી પડે છે.
🌍 Foreign Manufacturer – FMCS / AIR
Scheme-I માટે FMCS
Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme હેઠળ foreign manufacturerને Standard Mark use કરવાની licence મળે છે. Electronics & IT goods notified under MeitY CRS માટે અલગ CRS route લાગુ પડે છે.
2026 Online-only FMCS Application
BIS official update મુજબ FMCS application 1 June 2026થી માત્ર Manak Online દ્વારા online સ્વીકારાય છે. Foreign applicantે prescribed AIR nomination કરવું પડે છે.
🧪 BIS Recognized Lab કેવી રીતે શોધવી?
LIMS – Laboratory Information Management System
BIS recognized/empanelled labની scope અને Indian Standard-wise testing facility LIMS portal પરથી search કરી શકાય છે. CRSમાં product test request CRS portal પરથી generate કરીને lab selection LIMS integration દ્વારા થાય છે. Testing charge standard અને selected lab પ્રમાણે અલગ હોય છે.
🚫 Common Mistakes – Application Delay ન થાય તે માટે
Wrong IS Number
Product માટે જૂનો/ખોટો standard પસંદ કરવાથી testing અને application બન્ને ખોટી દિશામાં જઈ શકે છે.
QCO Date Ignore કરવી
Implementation date, amendment અથવા exemption check કર્યા વગર market/import plan ન કરવો.
Lab Scope ન જોવી
BIS-recognized lab હોય એટલું પૂરતું નથી; relevant IS/product scope valid હોવી જરૂરી છે.
Incomplete Factory Setup
Scheme-Iમાં required machinery/QC/testing capability વગર inspectionમાં deficiency આવી શકે છે.
Wrong Brand/Model Details
Test report, application અને labelમાં model/brand/manufacturer details match હોવી જોઈએ.
Unofficial “Guaranteed BIS”
કોઈ private party approval guarantee કરી શકતી નથી. Final licence/registration BIS દ્વારા જ grant થાય છે.
